Fontaines D. C. tease fifth album and new single ‘Marianne’

Dublin-based band Fontaines D. C. has teased the arrival of their fifth studio album, signaling a new creative direction. The announcement included an official teaser for a new single titled ‘Marianne’, which features a more atmospheric and experimental sound compared to their previous work.

The track was recently debuted live during performances in Cadiz, Alicante, and Pamplona, Spain. Alongside ‘Marianne’, the band also performed a new song titled ‘Six Shot Morning’. These appearances marked the group’s return to the stage following the passing of their long-time manager, Trevor Dietz, in June.

To accompany the teaser, the band updated their social media presence with a cryptic photograph captioned ‘5’, suggesting the upcoming project is their fifth full-length release. While a specific release date and tracklist have not been disclosed, the new material follows the success of their 2024 album, Romance.
