Food and Veterinary Agency blocks Kosovo milk shipments

The Food and Veterinary Agency (AUV) has blocked two shipments of UHT milk originating from Kosovo at the Bllacë border crossing. The shipments, totaling 27,520 kilograms, were found to contain aflatoxin levels exceeding the maximum limits permitted by current legislation.

The unsafe milk, which was intended for a local supermarket chain, has been safely destroyed at the Drislla depot under the supervision of an official veterinarian. This action follows special security measures approved by the Agency on July 17 to strengthen controls and mandatory laboratory testing for all imported milk and dairy products to ensure consumer safety and fair competition.
