Food assistance initiatives support vulnerable populations in Brazil
In Campo Grande, the Community Support Fund (FAC) received a donation of approximately 1,500 kilograms of non-perishable food. The donation was provided by the Sicredi cooperative, utilizing funds from registration fees paid by more than 1,500 participants of the 2nd Sicredi Race. These supplies are intended for emergency assistance to vulnerable families and registered entities in the capital.
In Botucatu, the Food Bank initiative currently benefits 5,508 people through 53 social projects. The program works to combat food waste by redistributing consumable products to social institutions. Additionally, the Municipal Food Acquisition Program (PAA Municipal) supports local family farming by creating commercial opportunities for small producers to supply these social institutions, integrating agricultural and social assistance policies.
