Food Bank Moldova launches food waste education campaign
The Food Bank, supported by Kaufland Moldova, has launched its seventh annual educational workshop caravan titled ‘Less waste, more good’. The initiative aims to teach primary school students about the value of food and the importance of preventing food waste through interactive activities, games, and dialogue.
Volunteers from the Diaconia Social Mission are participating in the workshops to help students understand the resources required to produce food and the environmental consequences of waste. The project seeks to encourage responsible habits that children can share with their families and communities.
The campaign launch took place at the ‘Pro-Succes’ High School in Chișinău, involving approximately 85 students. This year, the educational caravan is expected to reach about 600 primary school children.
