Football infrastructure developments in Senegal and Madagascar

In Senegal, a new sports-education-vocational complex is being developed in Méouane. The project, initiated by Mamadou Fall, received support from former FIFA Secretary General Fatma Samoura, who provided a symbolic contribution of 5 million CFA francs to begin construction. The facility, spanning 8 to 15 hectares, aims to combine athletic training with professional education in fields such as carpentry, mechanics, and sewing. It is designed to accommodate between 50 and 300 young people, targeting those outside the traditional school system.

In Madagascar, the Madagascar Football Federation, with support from FIFA Forward funding, inaugurated the renovated Carion National Technical Center. The $2.7 million project includes administrative buildings, dormitories, a conference hall, and a synthetic pitch with a 600-seat covered stand. The center will serve national teams and provide training for technicians, referees, and coaches. Federation President Alfred Randriamanampisoa noted that further expansion could lead to full FIFA homologation for the site.
