Argentine football leagues enter decisive playoff and qualification phases

Various Argentine football leagues are reaching critical stages in their 2026 seasons. In the Torneo Clausura Proyección, Belgrano secured a 2-1 victory over Central Córdoba, moving into the playoff zone and climbing to fourth in Group B.

In the Primera Nacional, Racing de Córdoba defeated Los Andes 1-0. Meanwhile, in the Liga Mendocina, Atlético San Martín climbed to fourth in Zone A following a 1-0 win against Leonardo Murialdo.

Major professional clubs are also facing high-stakes matchups. River Plate drew against Sarmiento, leaving them outside the playoff spots and needing strong finishes to secure a position in the 2027 Copa Libertadores. Talleres de Córdoba faces a difficult period, sitting at the bottom of Zone A and struggling with relegation concerns. Upcoming fixtures include Boca Juniors hosting Talleres and a key clash between Huracán and Gimnasia de La Plata, both fighting for playoff positioning in Zone B.

Additionally, the Supercopa and Copa de la Liga have confirmed their quarter-final matchups, with the Supercopa featuring single-match ties including Peñarol vs. Sportivo Urquiza and Atlético Paraná vs. Club VF.
