Ford Almussafes factory celebrates 50 years of production in Spain
The Ford manufacturing plant in Almussafes, near Valencia, marks its 50th anniversary of vehicle production. The facility's milestone dates back to October 18, 1976, when the first Ford Fiesta rolled off the assembly line.
Since its inception, the plant has produced a wide range of models, including the Escort, Ka, Mondeo, Focus, and Kuga. The factory's establishment was a significant industrial development for Spain, supported by its proximity to the Port of Valencia and the steel industry in Sagunto.
Looking toward the future, Ford has announced a transition toward new technologies. Starting in 2028, the plant is scheduled to produce new models, including compact SUVs from the Bronco family as well as various electric and multi-energy vehicles to meet the evolving demands of the automotive industry.
