Ford announces 2027 F-150 updates including new engines and retro styling
Ford has announced several updates for the 2027 F-150. The truck will feature a new standard 3.0-liter EcoBoost V6 engine, replacing the 2.7-liter V6, while a 5.0-liter V8 returns to the King Ranch and Platinum trims. New technology includes hands-free towing capabilities for models equipped with the BlueCruise system.
Styling updates include a new Two-Tone package available through Ford Custom Garage for XLT and Lariat SuperCrew models with a 5.5-foot bed. This package offers contrasting accent colors such as Oxford White, Carbonized Gray, and Agate Black to evoke a retro aesthetic. Additionally, Ford teased more affordable versions of the Tremor and Raptor off-road grades and a Carhartt collaboration for the XLT Crew Cab.
Other automotive news for 2027 includes updates to the Honda Passport TrailSport, which will feature a reworked suspension and increased ground clearance. Land Rover is also preparing an all-electric Range Rover, estimated to feature a 118-kWh battery providing over 330 miles of range and 550 horsepower.
