Ford 2027 vehicle model updates
Overview
Ford has announced several updates for its 2027 vehicle lineup, focusing on engine upgrades and specialized trim levels for the F-150 and Bronco models.
For the 2027 F-150, the company is introducing a new standard 3.0-liter EcoBoost V6 engine to replace the 2.7-liter V6, while reintroducing a 5.0-liter V8 for specific trims. Technological advancements include hands-free towing via the BlueCruise system, and aesthetic updates include a new Two-Tone package designed to “evoke a retro aesthetic.”
Regarding the 2027 Bronco, Ford is adding a 3.0-liter twin-turbo EcoBoost V6 engine to non-Raptor models. In standard configurations, this engine will produce 380 horsepower and 440 lb-ft of torque, while the Raptor version will maintain a higher output of 418 horsepower. This 3.0-liter unit will be an option for the Outer Banks, Heritage, and four-door Badlands trims, and will come standard on the luxury Filson trim. Base and Big Bend packages will continue to use a 2.3-liter four-cylinder EcoBoost engine.
The Bronco lineup will expand with new editions, including a Filson edition and the Bronco RTR, a high-performance desert off-roader developed with RTR Vehicles. The RTR variant is expected to feature a 2.3-liter engine with an anti-lag turbocharger system, HOSS 1.0 suspension, and 33-inch tires, with pricing starting above $50,000. Interior and connectivity updates include marine-grade vinyl, heated steering wheels, and an upgrade from 4G to 5G modem connectivity.
