Ford introduces Mustang Mach-E Trail for US market

Ford has announced the upcoming Mustang Mach-E Trail, a new package designed for outdoor enthusiasts, scheduled to arrive in the United States in the first quarter of 2027. The Trail package, available for the Select eAWD trim, features specialized suspension with a ride height increase of 10 mm at the front and 15 mm at the rear. It incorporates components from the Mach-E Rally, including 19-inch wheels and Michelin CrossClimate 2 tires to improve traction on gravel, sand, and snow.

Key features include a 400W Pro Power Onboard system with 120V outlets to power small devices like camping lights or electric pumps. The 2027 model year also brings significant battery updates; the previous smaller battery option will be discontinued in favor of an 88 kWh standard capacity across the Select and Premium trims, while the GT and Rally versions will retain 91 kWh batteries.

Additionally, Ford is introducing a new front electric motor for all-wheel-drive variants. This motor is designed to deliver performance equivalent to the previous unit but at a lower production cost, which aims to help offset the price impact of the larger standard batteries.
