Ford warns Almussafes workers of limit on labor concessions until 2030
Ford España has informed workers at its Almussafes plant in Valencia that negotiations regarding wages and working conditions through 2030 have reached their limit. The company stated in an internal communication that there is no further margin to absorb new concessions or cost increases without jeopardizing the industrial viability and competitiveness of its operations in Spain, specifically mentioning its plants in Valencia and Madrid.
The company plans to hold a final meeting this week to present the definitive ‘Acuerdo 2030’ (2030 Agreement). Management indicated they will make ‘a last exercise of approximation’ to incorporate the final concerns expressed by the works council, but warned that no further demands can be met without risking the project's continuity. Ford described the current collective bargaining process as a ‘historic opportunity’ to establish a framework of stability and certainty for the company until 2030.
