Foreign 68‑Year‑Old Arrested in Florina, Greece with 55 kg Cannabis

On 18 July 2026 police in the Florina region of Greece seized a passenger car driven by a 68‑year‑old foreign national. During a targeted operation by the Florina Crime Investigation Department, officers found two travel bags and a sack containing 50 packages of raw cannabis weighing a total of 55 kg 422 g. The vehicle and three mobile phones were confiscated. A criminal case of aggravated drug trafficking was opened and the suspect was referred to the Florina misdemeanor prosecutor for pre‑trial proceedings.
