Foreign investors dump nearly 900 bn VND of Vietnamese stocks

On June 9, foreign investors sold a net 868 bn VND of Vietnamese equities, with the heaviest pressure on FPT (≈108 bn VND) and other large‑cap names such as TCB and MBB. Despite the sell‑off, the VN‑Index edged up to 1,793 points and market breadth tilted slightly bullish, though trading volume remained low.

The following day, foreign investors continued net selling, offloading about 536 bn VND across the market. Their purchases focused on VJC, CII and MWG on the HoSE, while MBB, VPB and SSI faced the strongest net outflows. On the HNX, PVS and IDC saw net buying, whereas TNG and MBS were among the most sold. Overall liquidity stayed thin, with total match value on the HoSE around 10‑11 trn VND.
