Foreign investors net buy in Vietnam markets lifts bank stocks in early July

On June 30, Vietnam’s VN‑Index slipped 16.94 points to 1,854.97 amid net selling by foreign investors, with the market seeing roughly 600 million shares traded.

The next day, July 1, foreign investors halted sales and recorded a net purchase of about VND 132 billion across the HoSE, concentrating heavily on banking shares. VPB alone attracted over VND 300 billion of net buying, while other banks such as TCB, MBB and HDB also rose 2‑3 %. The VN‑Index edged up 7.2 points (+0.39 %) to 1,867 points, supported by gains in blue‑chip stocks like FPT and MWG.
