Foreign Trade University launches four new affiliated schools in Vietnam
On 3 August, Vietnam’s Foreign Trade University – often dubbed “Harvard Vietnam” – announced the creation of four new affiliated schools: the College of Economics and Public Management, the College of Business, the Vietnam‑Japan College of Business and Innovation, and the College of Law and Political Science. The university also appointed heads of faculties and office chiefs for each new school.
The move is part of a broader restructuring plan that will eventually expand the university to seven affiliated schools, adding a College of Finance and Accounting, a College of Languages, Culture and Arts, and a College of Technology and Data Science. Officials said the new model aims to streamline governance, increase academic autonomy, foster interdisciplinary collaboration, and strengthen links with industry, local authorities and international partners, thereby improving teaching quality and research output.
