Spain wildfires impact Tuéjar and Quiroga regions

Multiple wildfires are impacting various regions across Spain. In Tuéjar, Valencia, a significant fire has burned between 880 and 1,000 hectares within the Alto Turia biosphere reserve. The blaze has necessitated the preventive evacuation of approximately 25 people and has prompted the activation of the Military Emergencies Unit (UME). While the fire is currently perimetrated, erratic winds and heavy rain forecasts complicate containment efforts.

In the Lugo province, a fire in the Serra do Courel near Quiroga has burned between 250 and 380 hectares. The blaze remains uncontrolled due to challenging terrain and wind, though officials are monitoring the situation closely.

In Huelva, several fires have seen varying levels of success. The wildfire in Cartaya has been completely extinguished, while fires in Santa Bárbara de Casa and Alosno have been stabilized. Other regional incidents include a fire in Valdecabras, Cuenca, and a blaze in Cáceres that affected the Cerro de la Butrera area.
