Forest fires in Bocairent and Castellfort successfully extinguished

Emergency services have successfully extinguished two separate forest fires in the Valencian Community.

A fire that broke out at 11:49 hours in a pine forest in Bocairent, Valencia, was brought under control following an extensive deployment of ground and aerial resources. The operation involved the Generalitat forest firefighters, the Alicante Fire Consortium, and local volunteers from ACIF Mariola. The fire was stabilized and eventually extinguished after being contained near the border of the Alicante province.

In a separate incident, a forest fire in Castellfort, Castellón, was extinguished after affecting an area of less than one hectare. Firefighting efforts in this region were complicated by high winds, with gusts recorded near 130 kilometers per hour. The fire was officially declared extinguished on the evening of October 9.
