Forest fires reported in Spain and the Baronia de Rialb region

Multiple forest fires have been reported in different regions. In Spain, four fire outbreaks were detected in the Vall de Gallinera and Pego areas, specifically near the Miserà road. Emergency services from Dénia, Benissa, and Cocentaina, along with forest firefighters, worked to stabilize the situation. Authorities suspect the fires may have been caused by arson due to the location of the multiple outbreaks near roads and paths.

In the Baronia de Rialb region of Noguera, a lightning strike ignited a fire in a difficult-to-access area near Treguany. Emergency responders deployed 21 ground units and several aerial means, including helicopters and planes, to combat the blaze. Initial estimates suggest approximately three hectares were burned. Local officials noted that extreme weather conditions are increasing vegetation dryness, making it more combustible.
