Former Cheongju Councilor Choi Young-jung Faces Expanded Probe After New Nude Photos Found

South Korean police conducting a forensic examination of former Cheongju city council member Choi Young-jung's voluntarily surrendered mobile phone discovered additional nude photographs. The images show a woman dressed in attire resembling a school uniform, distinct from the previously identified middle‑school victim. Investigators consider the woman a possible additional victim and have resumed a search warrant to secure related messenger conversations, communication logs, and financial records.

Choi, already charged with multiple counts of child sexual exploitation dating from October 2023, allegedly paid minors for sexual acts and demanded nude photos. He acknowledges sexual activity but claims he did not know the victims were underage. Police declined to provide further details, stating the case remains under investigation.
