Former Chihuahua official detained in El Paso
Adrián D. D., a former administrative and services coordinator for the Secretariat of Finance during César Duarte Jáquez’s administration, has been detained in El Paso, Texas, by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
In Chihuahua, Adrián D. D. faces accusations of participating in a scheme to release 120 million pesos to Kepler Soluciones Integrales, a company identified in investigations known as ‘Operation Justice for Chihuahua.’ He is also implicated in the improper retention of over 14.6 million pesos intended for employee compensation, funds that were allegedly transferred to the PRI State Steering Committee in 2015 as unreported voluntary contributions.
This marks the second time the former official has been detained by U.S. immigration authorities. In 2018, he was reportedly held due to visa expiration issues but was not transferred to Mexican authorities at that time.
