Former DF Governor José Roberto Arruda proposes Rafael Prudente as 2026 running mate

At the 26th edition of the Caminhada da Paz in Gama, former Distrito Federal governor José Roberto Arruda (PSD) met amicably with former secretary of government José Humberto Pires (MDB) and other local political figures. Days later, Arruda told supporters that he would like deputy Rafael Prudente of the MDB to join his ticket, possibly as vice‑candidate. The comment adds a new element to the ongoing negotiations among parties such as the MDB, PSDB and Avante as they shape a unified front for the upcoming election.
