Former manager of Callejero Fino arrested for coercive threats

Carlos Mauricio “Mauri” Fernández, the former manager of the artist Callejero Fino, was arrested this Friday in the Maschwitz Club gated community in Escobar. The arrest was ordered by prosecutor Cosme Irribarren following a complaint of coercive threats filed by the singer, whose real name is Simón Natanael Alvarenga.

During the police raid, authorities seized a black Volkswagen Bora and a mobile phone. Fernández, 39, reportedly has a criminal record for aggravated robbery.

The investigation into the threats coincides with Alvarenga’s ongoing detention. The singer has been in custody since late August after being caught in Villa La Ñata, Tigre, with a Glock .40 pistol that had its serial number filed off. Alvarenga reportedly stated in his testimony that he was carrying the weapon for protection due to the threats he was receiving.
