The hearing, originally scheduled for July 2026 (a Wednesday in the Westminster Magistrates’ Court), was postponed by Chief Magistrate Paul Goldspring to 21 December 2026. The magistrate cited concerns over the defendant’s mental health and ordered further psychiatric assessment before the trial can proceed.

Andrew Mountbatten‑Windsor, who was stripped of his princely title and dukedom in 2022, will give his testimony via video‑link from an undisclosed location. The prosecution intends to rely on a 341‑page download of Jenkinson’s mobile‑phone data, including keyword searches such as “Andrew” and “search Sandringham.”
