Indonesia KPK Closes Gratification Report on Forestry Minister Raja Juli
The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) announced that the gratification report involving Forestry Minister Raja Juli Antoni has been closed in the prevention stage. The report concerned an envelope allegedly handed to the minister by former Kuantan Singingi regent Suhardiman Amby during a June 2 audience. Raja Juli said he was unaware of the envelope’s contents and returned it on June 12. KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo said the verification and analysis were completed well within the 30‑day limit and the findings were sent to the reporter. Deputy Aminudin added that the report was rejected because the matter is already being investigated by law‑enforcement agencies. While the prevention case is closed, investigators continue to examine possible bribery links, including whether the envelope ties to alleged corruption over forest‑area releases. The agency emphasized that the investigation remains ongoing and will be updated as new evidence emerges.
