Formosa hosts adapted athletics finals for Juegos Evita
The adapted athletics competition of the Juegos Evita Formoseños concluded in Formosa, Argentina, with the participation of approximately 300 to 330 athletes with disabilities. The event featured various disciplines, including 100-meter sprints, shot put, 150-meter races, and long jump.
Governor Gildo Insfrán attended the provincial finals for the Under-18 category held at the Centro de Educación Física y de Alto Rendimiento (CEF) 1. Delegations from 29 different institutions across the province participated in the competition. Following the athletic events, participants visited the '17 de octubre' Water Park and attended a closing celebration at Club Aguará.
Local sports officials emphasized the importance of inclusion and the social value of the games, contrasting the provincial support for disability programs with the current national administration's policies.
