Formula 1 2026 season: Monaco Grand Prix schedule and driver standings

The 2026 Formula 1 season opened in Melbourne on 6–8 March, while the Bahrain and Saudi Arabian Grands Prix were cancelled because of the conflict in Iran. The calendar runs through December, with the Monaco Grand Prix set for the weekend of 5–7 June. The race will be held on the 3.337‑km Circuit de Monaco, a temporary street circuit featuring 78 laps, 19 corners, a tunnel and a fast harbour straight.

New technical regulations for 2026 make the cars lighter, more compact and powered by sustainable fuels. After the Monaco round the drivers’ leaderboard shows Kimi Antonelli leading with 1 562 points, followed by Lewis Hamilton (903) and George Russell (884). The constructors’ table has Mercedes ahead with 2 442 points, Ferrari second with 1 653 and McLaren third with 1 184. The season also marks the first championship for McLaren driver Lando Norris in 2025 and ends Max Verstappen’s four‑year title streak.

The schedule includes races in Australia, China, Japan (cancelled), the United States, Mexico, Brazil, the United Arab Emirates and others, culminating with the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix on 6 December.
