Formula One 2026 season schedule and championship history

The 2026 Formula One season features a 23-race calendar spanning five continents. Following the cancellation of the Bahrain and Saudi Arabian Grands Prix due to conflict in the Middle East, the Bahrain Grand Prix has been rescheduled for October 4 at Malaysia’s Sepang International Circuit. The championship is expected to conclude on December 6 in Abu Dhabi.

In the United States, Apple TV serves as the primary broadcaster for the season, with select races available through partner simulcasts. The season officially launched in Melbourne on March 8, following preseason testing in Bahrain.

Historically, drivers such as Michael Schumacher, Max Verstappen, and Nigel Mansell have been noted for clinching World Championships with several races remaining in a season. Schumacher holds the record for the earliest win, securing a title with six races to spare in 2002.
