Foro Madrid meeting in Santiago gathers international conservative leaders

The V Regional Meeting of Foro Madrid took place in Santiago, Chile, bringing together various conservative and right-wing political leaders from Iberoamerica, Europe, and the United States.

Argentine President Javier Milei addressed the forum, where he criticized Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez and former Argentine President Mauricio Macri. Milei also made controversial remarks regarding the 1973 Chilean coup d'état, defending the historical context of the event.

Other international participants addressed regional issues, including Kevin Roberts, president of The Heritage Foundation, who characterized the migration crisis in Ceuta as an ‘invasion by Morocco’ and called for U.S. support for Spain. Additionally, U.S. diplomatic representatives discussed the political landscape in Chile, touching upon the application of the ‘Donroe Doctrine’ in relation to local leadership.
