Fort Boyard launches public visit contest and new season hosted by Cyril Féraud
The Fondation du patrimoine and the Charente‑Maritime department have opened a donation‑driven contest that offers a chance to visit Fort Boyard on 19 September 2026, during the European Heritage Days. Anyone who donates at least €30 is entered into a draw for 25 prizes (up to 50 visitors). The campaign, launched in August, has already raised more than €495,000 to support the fort’s ongoing restoration, which aims to make the historic site regularly accessible by 2028.
The TV game show Fort Boyard returns for its 37th season on 4 July 2026, with Cyril Féraud taking over as host from Olivier Minne. The new series introduces fresh challenges such as the “Salle d’armes” and “Escalier glissant,” adds a new character called the Admiral, and features guests including actors Bruno Solo, Isabelle Vitari, swimmer Camille Lacourt and judoka Shirine Boukli. The episode also supports UN Women France, linking entertainment with a charitable cause.
