The French adventure game show Fort Boyard returns for its 2026 season with a major overhaul. Long‑time presenter Olivier Minne departs after 23 seasons and is succeeded by Cyril Féraud, who leads the new format on France 2.

The changes allow teams to earn up to €10,000 before reaching the Treasure Room – a first in the programme’s history – and introduce fresh challenges and characters such as the Admiral and the Amir. Several classic tests have been re‑imagined, and more collective tasks now involve the whole team.

The opening episode, broadcast on 4 July, featured personalities including actor Bruno Solo, swimmer Camille Lacourt, and Olympian Shirine Boukli, who competed on behalf of the audience and in support of ONU Femmes France.
