Fort Frances 14 Wildfire Expansion Triggers New Evacuation Alert in Ontario

An expanded Evacuation Alert has been issued for communities in the Thunder Bay‑Ignace District surrounding the active Fort Frances 14 wildland fire. The alert does not constitute an Evacuation Order, but residents in the newly listed townships—including Ames, Begin, Blackwell, Colliver, and many others—are urged to prepare for possible evacuation and be ready to leave on short notice. Areas previously under an Evacuation Order remain subject to that order.
