Fortaleza's Dragão do Mar Centre Announces July Theater and Dance Season

The Dragão do Mar Centre of Art and Culture in Fortaleza will host a packed July program featuring theatre, contemporary and urban dance, and family shows. Highlights include the 20th edition of the Festival de Esquetes by Companhia Teatral Acontece, the contemporary dance piece “O Céu do Bom Jardim” by CorpoMudança, and the urban‑dance performance “Obaque” by Loly Pop Urban Art. Additional productions such as “Crendice de quem me disse,” “29. 200,” and the Kafka‑inspired “Josefina, uma peça‑rato” will also be staged throughout the month.

Tickets range from free admission to modest fees (R$10‑R$30), with some shows offering a social‑ticket option that includes a food‑donation component. The programme aims to showcase contemporary Ceará culture, address social themes, and provide accessible artistic experiences for the public.
