Fortescue Zero announces British driver lineup for Formula E
Fortescue Zero has confirmed Dan Ticktum and Taylor Barnard as its driver duo for the 2026/27 Formula E season. The announcement marks the formation of an all-British lineup for the debut team entering the GEN4 regulation era.
Fortescue Zero entered the championship by acquiring the license and assets of the former DS Penske operation. The team is owned by the green technology and industrial giant Fortescue, which previously acquired Williams Advanced Engineering. Based in Kidlington, United Kingdom, and led by Team Principal Jim Wright, the squad will utilize Jaguar powertrains for the upcoming GEN4 era.
Ticktum joins the team following the conclusion of his tenure with CUPRA Kiro. His recruitment follows a period of testing and negotiations involving Lola and potential Porsche customer teams. Together, Ticktum and Barnard bring a combined total of three E-Prix victories to the new outfit.
