Fortnite adds Holofoil Sprites with July 9 release

Epic Games announced that the next rarity tier for its Fortnite Sprite mechanic, the Holofoil Sprites, will launch on July 9. The new variants will mirror each existing Sprite with altered designs and grant a 5% team-wide increase in finding rare sprites. Abilities such as shield bubbles from the Zero Point Sprite and enemy marking from the Grim Reaper Sprite will continue, and a Batman Sprite is confirmed for the update.

Fans have also suggested additional skins they would like to see turned into Sprites, including characters like Chun‑Li, Midas, Cube Queen, Peely, Jonesy, the Foundation and Geno, each with proposed gameplay tweaks.
