Fortnite announces Cube Sprites release for July 23, 2026

Epic Games confirmed that the new Cube Sprites variant will launch in Fortnite on Thursday, July 23, 2026, during the “New Sprite Day” event. The release will roll out at 6 AM PT (9 AM ET) and the corresponding local times for major regions, including the UK (2 PM BST), Europe (3 PM CEST), Brazil (10 AM BRT), Japan and South Korea (10 PM JST/KST), Australia (11 PM AEST) and New Zealand (1 AM NZST).

Eight Cube Sprites are expected, such as Cube Earth, Cube Fire, Cube Fishy, Cube Punk, Cube Dream, Cube Boss, Cube Batman and Cube Grim. Each Sprite grants an “Overdrive” effect while in the Storm, improving player mobility and combat positioning. Leaked information suggests the Sprites will appear near areas with Cube energy and other thematic landmarks, with spawn locations rotating between matches. Players will be able to collect the Sprites from random chests and overworld spots, and interacting with them may provide temporary mobility, defensive buffs, or unique combat abilities.
