Fortnite launches Chapter 7 Season 3 with new Shattered Coast map and Sprites

Epic Games scheduled server downtime on June 6 2026 to roll out Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3, known as "Runners." The maintenance began at 11:30 PM UTC and was expected to last about five and a half hours, with servers returning at 5 AM UTC. The update introduces a new map called the Shattered Coast, featuring re‑imagined points of interest such as Cluster Coast and Heatwave Harbor.

New gameplay revolves around powered‑up Sprites that players can collect, extract, and use in future matches, granting abilities like shields, temporary invisibility, or burst damage. The season adds four new weapons, two mobility items, and brings back older guns including the Maven Auto Shotgun. A Battle Pass priced at 800 V‑Bucks (or included with Fortnite Crew) unlocks the Guardian mech outfit and launch‑week bonuses, while Epic Rewards offer a 20% rebate on V‑Buck purchases.
