Fortuna Düsseldorf increases squad budget to eight million euros

Fortuna Düsseldorf's supervisory board has approved an increase in the squad budget to eight million euros. This decision follows revenue generated from player sales and new partnership agreements, including a long-term deal with Adidas and 11Teamsports extending to 2033.

With this increase, the club approaches the spending levels of Hansa Rostock, which currently leads the 3. Liga with an 8.5 million euro budget. Despite the expansion, the club's current squad commitments account for approximately 7.8 million euros, leaving manager Samir Arabi with roughly 200,000 euros in remaining salary budget for potential new signings.

To create more financial flexibility, the club is looking to facilitate further departures. Players including Noah Egouli, Levi Mentzel, and Kilian Sauck have been identified as potential exits to help free up funds.
