Forum Zakat Sumut distributes one million masks in Medan amid haze

Forum Zakat (FOZ) Sumatera Utara has launched a campaign to distribute one million free masks to road users in Medan. The initiative aims to protect the public from exposure to haze caused by forest and land fires (karhutla).

Members of FOZ Sumut are distributing the masks directly to people on Jalan Setia Budi to assist those who must remain active outdoors despite the degraded air quality. FOZ Sumut Chairman Sulaiman stated that the action is a response to the social and humanitarian issues caused by the haze, urging the community to remain vigilant regarding the health impacts of the smoke.
