Forza Italia grapples with local disputes in Catanzaro and Caltanissetta

In Catanzaro, five Forza Italia municipal councilors met with the Prefecture's chief of staff, Luigi Guerrieri, to highlight critical local problems. They pointed to unsanitary conditions in the city's four cemeteries, inadequate sewage systems in peripheral districts, delays in the implementation of local police orders for road markings, and the administration's failure to convene two ad hoc council meetings that the party and other council members had requested, including issues related to funding from the regional "Grande eventi" programme.

In the province of Caltanissetta, former municipal assessor Marcello Mirisola publicly questioned the legitimacy of activities carried out by assessor Del Popolo, who allegedly sought confirmation of political mandates from regional leaders Edy Tamajo and Nino Minardo. Mirisola called for clear, transparent clarification of any official assignments to avoid confusion and internal tension within Forza Italia, stating that he receives daily inquiries from local party officials seeking to understand the basis of Del Popolo's actions.
