Foton launches Toano van in Argentina

Chinese automotive brand Foton has officially launched the Toano, a medium-sized van designed for commercial logistics and urban transport, in the Argentine market. The launch follows the recent pre-sale of the brand's electric e-View Connect model.

The Toano is currently available in two cargo configurations: a 9 m³ version priced at USD 38,900 and a 12 m³ version priced at USD 43,400. Both models are powered by a 2.5L four-cylinder turbodiesel engine producing 156 HP and 415 Nm of torque, paired with a six-speed manual transmission. The 9 m³ variant measures 5.50 meters in length and 2.42 meters in height, while the 12 m³ variant measures 5.99 meters in length and 2.72 meters in height.

Standard features include dual airbags, full LED headlights, push-button start, and a 7-inch multimedia display with a rearview camera. Foton intends to expand the lineup in the coming months with a passenger version capable of carrying 15+1 occupants. The brand also recently introduced the Auman D 2030 4x2 Tractor truck to its heavy vehicle range.
