Four arrested and weapons seized in Baja California Sur drug operations

State police in Baja California Sur detained four individuals in separate operations across La Paz, Loreto and Los Cabos. In La Paz, a 40‑year‑old man was caught with a 9 mm firearm, marijuana and cocaine. In Loreto, authorities seized crystal‑like substances from a suspect, while in Cabo San Lucas a 17‑year‑old was found with marijuana, crystal and a cocaine‑like packet. A separate raid in Cabo San Lucas intercepted a man carrying e‑cigarette packages. Police also prevented an alleged virtual kidnapping, rescuing a 27‑year‑old victim after extortion demands of 100,000 pesos were uncovered. All arrests and seized items have been handed over to the public prosecutor for further investigation.
