Four detained in drug raids in Campeche municipalities

On July 16, authorities in the Mexican state of Campeche carried out two search operations in the municipalities of Ciudad del Carmen and Calkiní. In Carmen, investigators seized narcotic substances, cash believed to be linked to the crime, and other evidence, while detaining three individuals: two 28‑year‑olds identified as M. A. S. G and J. D. N. G, and a 64‑year‑old, S. M. Q. In Calkiní, a fourth suspect, E. F. U. C, aged 46, was arrested along with additional doses of narcotics, distribution bags, and marijuana‑like herbs. The operations were conducted with the support of the National Defense Secretariat, the Navy, the National Guard and the Public Security Secretariat. All seized items and detainees were transferred to the public prosecutor’s office for further investigation.
