Four Farmers Killed in Benue State Herdsmen Attack
At about midnight on Monday, suspected armed herdsmen stormed the Abaushwa community in Nzorov Council Ward of Guma Local Government Area, Benue State, Nigeria. Four farmers were killed and several residents injured; one of the injured later died, bringing the death toll to four. Victims were taken to the General Hospital in Gbajimba.
The attack was condemned by PDP governorship candidate Chief Michael Kaase Aondoakaa, who described it as "barbaric" and called for immediate security measures. Benue State Police Command confirmed the incident and said investigations are ongoing to arrest the perpetrators. Local officials deployed additional security personnel and urged residents to cooperate with authorities.
