Four potential cyclones monitored in Pacific and Atlantic oceans

The National Meteorological Service (SMN) is monitoring four low-pressure areas with the potential to develop into tropical cyclones. Two systems are located in the Pacific Ocean and two in the Atlantic Ocean.

In the Pacific, one area 810 kilometers south of Técpan de Galeana, Guerrero, has a 50 percent chance of becoming a cyclone within 48 hours, potentially named Ilce. A second Pacific system southwest of the Jalisco and Colima coasts has a 60 percent chance of development within 48 hours and an 80 percent chance within seven days.

In the Atlantic, two areas east-northeast of the Quintana Roo coast are under surveillance, though they currently show lower development probabilities of 10 to 20 percent. Additionally, the National Hurricane Center has issued a warning regarding Hurricane Lala near Laysan Island, northwest of Honolulu, Hawaii.

Meteorological forecasts also predict intense rainfall in regions including Durango, Nayarit, and Jalisco, with strong winds and heavy rain expected across several other Mexican states such as Sinaloa, Michoacán, and Guanajuato.
