Four tourists rescued after speedboat capsizes off Pattaya, Thailand

On July 24, a speedboat carrying four tourists – two foreign men and two Thai women – capsized in heavy seas about 12 nautical miles off Koh Khram, near Pattaya. Pattaya City rescue boat 501, aided by Sawang rescue volunteers, brought all passengers safely ashore without injury and later towed the sunken hull to Bang Saray for inspection. Sea conditions were recorded at level 3‑4, and authorities renewed safety warnings urging boat operators to check weather forecasts before setting out.

In a separate incident off Surat Thani the same day, a speedboat with five tourists sank after being swamped by large waves; nearby fishing vessels and marine police rescued everyone unharmed.
