Fouzi Lekjaa launches PAM electoral campaign in Morocco

Fouzi Lekjaa, a prominent member of the Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM), has launched the party’s electoral campaign ahead of the September 23 legislative elections in Morocco. During various meetings in Casablanca, Azrou, and Marrakech-Safi, Lekjaa called for a significant shift in government policy to address pressing national issues.

The PAM’s electoral program focuses on several key pillars: improving purchasing power, reforming health and education sectors, and supporting youth employment. Specific social commitments include raising the minimum pension to 3,000 MAD, providing free electricity for bills under 100 MAD, and increasing the minimum social support to 1,000 MAD. To combat rising food prices, the party proposes restructuring distribution chains by creating six regional agricultural distribution companies to reduce the influence of intermediaries.

In discussions with the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM), Lekjaa emphasized the need for a stronger partnership with the private sector. He outlined plans to integrate the informal economy starting in 2027 and advocated for expanded social protection for workers in unstable employment. Lekjaa also criticized political discourse centered on positions and interests, urging a debate focused on actionable programs and solutions for the Moroccan people.
