Fouzi Lekjaa presents Authenticity and Modernity Party electoral program

Fouzi Lekjaa, a member of the Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM) political bureau and Minister Delegate for the Budget, has presented the party’s electoral program for the upcoming September 23 elections. Lekjaa framed the program as a clear contract between the party and Moroccan citizens, focusing on specific solutions, timelines, and financial costs for the 2026–2031 period.

A central pillar of the platform is addressing the cost of living and purchasing power. Lekjaa noted that while the government has injected approximately 208 billion dirhams into wages, direct aid, and housing, rising prices for essential goods have diminished the impact on households. The party proposes measures targeting retirees, employees, and vulnerable groups to mitigate these pressures.

During a communication meeting in the Oriental region, Lekjaa also addressed political critics, specifically referencing a 2021 statement by Rachid Talbi Alami, President of the House of Representatives. Lekjaa alluded to a previous unfulfilled campaign promise regarding a 2,500 dirham increase in citizen income, stating that political debate should move away from polemics and toward programs and figures. He emphasized that implementing the party's social and economic commitments would require mobilizing an additional 70 billion dirhams annually.
