Foxconn and Taiwan expand technological investments in Poland

Taiwanese technology giant Foxconn and the Taiwan Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers Association (TEEMA) are planning significant investments in Poland. These projects aim to establish a production hub for electric vehicles (EVs) in Jaworzno in collaboration with the state-owned company ElectroMobility Poland. The partnership intends to launch three vehicle models under a new European brand, including the production of battery packs and drivetrains.

Additionally, a proposed technology park in Miękini, Lower Silesia, could see the development of manufacturing plants and research centers. This site is intended for the production of AI data center servers, smart city solutions, and EV components. The combined value of these projects is estimated to reach approximately $20 billion.

Polish officials, including Deputy Minister Michal Jaros, have expressed interest in expanding this cooperation into advanced robotics, specifically humanoid robots, as a future technological frontier. A formal agreement regarding the technology park is expected to be signed between Poland and Taiwan by the end of 2026.
