FPÖ official demands probe into Astoria Artshow funding

Lukas Brucker, the cultural spokesperson for the FPÖ in Vienna, is calling for a full investigation into the financing of the Astoria Artshow following reports of significant fund transfers.

According to investigations, approximately 140,000 euros from the vicinity of Wien Holding were directed toward the four-day art fair. Additionally, the Vienna Economic Development GmbH (VED) reportedly contributed 75,000 euros, marking the largest single contribution within the holding's sponsoring activities, despite the company not appearing publicly as a sponsor.

Brucker has demanded the disclosure of all sponsorship contracts, decision-making processes, and payment flows. He raised concerns regarding whether these expenditures serve legitimate economic interests or constitute a misuse of taxpayer funds, suggesting that authorities should examine whether any breach of fiduciary duty or embezzlement has occurred.
