FPT Retail fined 400 million VND for consumer rights violations

FPT Digital Retail Joint Stock Company (FPT Retail) has been fined 400 million VND by the National Competition Commission for two violations regarding consumer rights protection.

The violations include failing to register or re-register standard form contracts and general transaction conditions with the state management agency for consumer rights protection. Additionally, the company was found to have caused confusion among consumers by providing incomplete or inaccurate information regarding the products, goods, and services it offers.

Following the inspection by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the company reportedly cooperated with authorities, provided necessary documentation, and took proactive measures to rectify the violations. The National Competition Commission stated that this enforcement aims to increase business transparency and protect the legal rights and interests of consumers.
